What programs are eligible for grants?

Mini grants will be awarded to schools with certified programs on a rotating basis: Music/Band on odd years, Visual Arts and drama on even years.

Schools with part-time programs may receive prorated grants. The Grants Committee can elect to make exception if money is available and a special need arises.

Who is eligible to apply for a mini-grant?

K-12 teachers from schools in Pike County with established arts programs are eligible to apply. A qualifying teacher is one who has an Education Degree in the designated
area. A teacher who has a degree in Art, Music, Drama or Dance and who is
currently working on Education Certification may receive the grant money
with the grant committee’s approval.

What is the application process?

Letters will be sent to eligible teachers at K-12 schools in Pike County once the application is live. Teachers will submit a form detailing the proposal, with a request of up to $500 in funding.

When are the application deadlines?

Mini-grant applications are accepted in the fall of each year, with a deadliner of September 1st. Notifications are made in October.
